2 sons of King David

1. The Matthew genealogy is based on David's son Solomon, and it represents the "KING LINE" of the father-to-son generations, but omits the nineteen (19) generations prior to Abraham, as well as other names, and notably the 'Assir#52' (NIV omits) preceding the final-14 to complete the 66 count.

2. The Luke genealogy is based on David's son Nathan and represents the "Priest Line" (because we are Kings & Priests). It contains many repetitive or copy-cat names (unlike Matthew), as well as a bogus 'Cainan of Arphaxad', Lk3:36 (a copyist error from the correct Cainan of 3:37), and confusion over two sets of 'Salathiel to Zorobabel' father-to-son. Compare Lk3:27 with Mt1:12.

3. The two sons of David, Solomon & Nathan, compare to how we can be Kings & Priests as Melchisedec.

There are 19 Kings in the Matthew Genealogy (when Ahaziah, Joash, Amaziah, and Jehoiakim are incuded), but only King David in the Luke3 genealogy -- tells you something, maybe?

Prov25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out the matter.
